  • Issues after TR2 Ink Upgrade on TrueVis VG640

Hi All. And a happy new year and i do hope you are all staying safe from this Virus>
So not a very good new year for me. I have been putting off doing the so-called upgrade to the new TR2 inks for the Roland TrueVis.
And i wish i had never done so. I have had issues ever since.
Head print was good before the upgrade.
Did it by the book. Upgrade the firmware, change over the inks in the way asked to do so, upgraded Vasaworks, all good you say.
did a few test prints and they got worse and worse by the print until we got head drop out
now we have no Black or Cyan
    Inks setup is CYMKLcLmLbW
What a pain. even with head clean. but when doing a head clean you can see the ink being pulled through the tubes.
As anyone else had an issue like this? and did you resolve it.
My test print was good before the change over
And to top it all we are now locked out of the maintenance
    section on the printer!!!!
Some upgrade this is, do you ever wished you had not done something.

    Late reply but..

I had a similar issue so I got in contact with Roland UK, they talked me through a few things to try and eventually they fitted a new printhead. I’ve no idea what the problem was but since the printer was printing perfectly before the change they covered the change.
