    Hi Everyone
I use Illustrator 10, on a PC, windows xp, across 3 screens.

Whenever I start up , illustrator forgets where I put all the pallets, and tools, and places them all on one screen, so every morning I have to put them all back where I want them.

Is there any way to make illustrator or windows remember the placement?

    Simon.

There must be some way of doing it Simon as mine appear in exactly the same places. How you do it is beyond me but it can be done.

    Hi Simon,

Am on a later version of Illustrator, and you can save workspace (not sure why not doing automatically for you though…).

I have window/workspace/save workspace. Maybe same for 10?

Yeah Ten doesnt have that option Martin.
I know CS has some advantages, but I never took to it. Maybe I just fancy the Venus de milo on the start up window!

I’m not sure if this is for just the XP OS windows or if it will work with program windows also. I know that macs have a file that contains the static size and position of windows can become corrupt, but not sure how XP handles it.

Try this and see if it might help though.

Ask a bunch of intelligent people, and you will get an answer!

Great! Happy to help another Simon out. It’s really Google that had the answer though.
