    Hi,

I want to start to dabble into a little bit of wall graphics. but of course have to try it out on my own walls first! now I can research all the info on application but what am having the biggest problem on is finding a design I like! I would like it in black and white. I’ve tried various images of mountains and cities but no luck. any ideas would be welcome

Hi Martin, it seems every Tom, Dik and Harry is doing wall art.

If you check out ebay you’ll see some examples on there and if you look at the prices people are charging for say a graphic at 610mm x 1m @ £2 inc Free post you’ll wonder where they make a profit.

I’ll give it a few years before everyones doing signs, of some sort, for themselves. What with the price of cutters coming right down and the easy access to get vinyl on ebay and the likes.

More and more people are coming on here asking how to apply vinyl and what is application tape. 😮

I think uksignboards has now become a training ground for every want to be part time sign maker.

Sorry I should of explained myself a little more. it would be a full digital image I would be applying onto the wall. Not cut vinyl!

Oooo you could make it like a window scene, the pillars and top to look like walls, and the recessed area a nice sea view from a balcony?

Chuck some cheap curtains in the corners with tie backs to add some realism to it.

What about having game gear sort of thing where the out side has controls and buttons and the alcove is the screen

How about an infinity pool, with the sea in the distance?

I’m no designer by a long stretch, but if you wanted it black and white, what about a comic strip or some tree branches?
I also saw something the other day which was quite cool where someone had made a wall into a giant clock using graphics and some hands (not a mural but could be a fun way of filling the space). Or perhaps something more local to you, a local monument or scene?

We’ve got a few customers who produce high end wall murals and wallpaper and whilst you can get it cheap on ebay they seem to be doing well in the business, I think sometimes maybe a cheap pricetag could actually put people off for personal spaces? Also, when it comes to DIY application, offering a service I’d have thought that would help sell your product locally to start.

    Good luck with it 🙂

Maybe a jungle type surround looking out to a beach scene?
