  • How much to charge for this truck graphics

Posted by Mike Thornley on September 14, 2018 at 9:34 am

    Morning

See attached, we did this last year, the truck is red, so all the white is cast vinyl, with black pin striping then the company logos placed into that. Never done anything this large before and in hindsight I think my price was to cheap for the work involved. The client has come back and wants another truck the same doing.
What would be considered the going rate for this
    Thanks all

its a very striking and effective design. Well done for coming up with this :claps:

It looks relatively easy to accomplish though I’m not so sure about how easy it would be to do the airdam on the top.
I would say in thje region of £1000 would represent good value for money considering the impact this design would have have.

    Hi Phil
Thanks for the reply – I seriously underquoted this at the time, £600.00, then they added stuff we did as part of the deal like the top spoiler, then they wanted it doing at the weekend. This time I am not doing for that price.
    Pic of the finished truck.

it is a difficult one to price from the picture and without taking sizes.
I would lean more towards Phill’s price here.

These days so many companies are armed with wide format printers…
Now based on size, you could maybe rotate the full side and print the whole thing in one go. then apply in one piece. Yes you may need to tile a bit or print a splice out of the print for in-lays etc but you get the idea. This would greatly speed up your application and the quality of the finished as the whole thing is one large gloss graphic.

I mention this because you said you pinstriped the shape and i imagine then lay graphics on top. which most folk do anyway. but if you consider the above, less manufacture time, much less install time, better finish overall. If you priced £800-£1000 and did the above, your profit margin would increase too.
However, if you do not have the print capabilities, then its more time, less profit. but thats what you would need to do to compete with those able to do the above.

    hope that makes sense.

    nice work regardless, well done!
you should show it off in the gallery section too. 😉
