I`ve been asked about screen printing alloy panels for a fabrication company.

The director has mentioned the ink needs to be cured in an oven.

Is this correct? I would have thought it would just be air cured.

    What ink/screen would you recomend.

    hi becky!!

i do alot of panels for large printing machines, and use two pack ink from
    keeps (no longer in business).
technically you have to cure them!! but i have done it another way for years and never had a come back!

build yourself a box depending on the size of the panels, (an example take a car board box put it on it’s side all enclosed except for the font) hope you’re following this okay, put your printed panels inside and place an electric heater in front of box, heat for about forty minutes but don’t touch them until there are stone cold!! then there ready to pack!! used this method for years, for panels on the challenger tanks the ink won’t budge!! not even with a chisel 😛

make sure your ink is mixed spot on!! hope this helps out becky need anymore info just pm!!

hi becky just read your post a bit slower this time……..sorry 😮 (lucy’s fault) 😀

if you use sericol their two pack is okay!! the best is coates (toucan)
    that is very good!! 😛
mesh count, as high as you can get for the smaller letters!! and an orange mesh!! the stencil, shadows on white mesh, gives an awful print!!
and it’s all down to preference, emulsion or direct stencil for small lettering i would go with the direct stencil from autotype!! fab stuff tell them what you need it for and they will give you the correct film!! 😛

    blethering again Nik 😀
