  • High tack gold or Metamark M7 Gold applied onto high tack white?

    Posted by Pane Talev on December 9, 2020 at 7:51 am

    I need to put some graphics on a wall. Wall is rough. Normal vinyl doesn’t work, doesn’t stick.

    We tested high tack and works fine.

    Do you know of a high tack gold?

    Hi Pane

    I have only ever seen high tack vinyl as a digital print vinyl. I think you will struggle as a standard coloured cut vinyl.

    Did you print the gold in the end pane?

    Hi Peter / Martyn. Yes, client decided to go for full wall wrap and I printed the job.

    I have never successfully printed a gold colour that I have been happy with. same with silver. without the metallic finish, it just looks grey for silver or a sort of cream for gold.

      @Jeff-Rea. I matched the gold with clients printed stationery.

    @pane-talev1

    That’s a nice shade Pane.

    I am more meaning the finish of the colour like a metallic gold finish. rather than a colour shade. if you see what i mean? I cant help but see it as a flat colour rather than a metalic finish of a gold or silver. I mean when i try printing it for customers. maybe i am being over critical of my own work.

      I try to worry and be critical of my work as much as I’m paid. I get approval from the client on every detail, I’m as transparent as possible and I try to make it trough out a project with as little worry as possible.

      Unless you have a high end printer with metallic ink I don’t think you will get the metallic look on the gold. (Maybe I’m wrong)
