HELP!!! Knee pads, what do you use?
At 46 years old and 13 years in this game my knees are starting to cause me some serious problems to the stage that some days I can barely bend them. My left knee especially is shot but the show must go on for as long as it can. Who here uses knee pads, and if so what type would you recommend? Looking for something that is comfortable and can be worn for a good few hours. Being a short arse the ones the fit inside the pockets of my work trousers are useless as they end up like shin pads! Not looking for something cheap and cheerful, more ones that I’ll be happy to use long term.

What type of thing do you find you do most on your knees, David?

I have several types of pads to help me, but it greatly depends on what I am doing and for how long.

All joking aside, vehicle graphics is the one that gets me most, although we do quite a lot of wallpaper type jobs where I end up kneeling quite a bit. I had a cheap pair of knee pads before but to stop they slipping they had to be quite tight then they cut into the back of my knees which put me off from using them.
