    Hi Guys

Haven’t posted anything for a while as all have been odds and sods. Done this the other day. I only did the letters, the back panels were done by the customer and will be putting trim around it to hide the screws.

Dibond mirror letters all supplied by Fabricut who gave me good prices, good service and good quality and supplied in 2 days 😉 :lol1:

    cheers

    Warren

I think it’s just the angle of the picture Harry, looks good straight on. 😉

what material is the background panels?

I note its not in a panatrim frame so it has nothing to allow it to expand in the sun.

Black is obviously the worst of the colours for expansion.

I fear the background may bow and buckle in the heat, when this happens it generally stays bowed and buckled and may make the letters pop off.

letters look good though :-), even though the "I" is too near the "B", infact all the large letters seem too close, considering the space you have left either side of the wording

I like it Warren, dont worry to much about the kerning, its not as important as the overall look,
back panel looks like composite, so shouldn’t have expansion problems

It looks like a very expensive furniture shop!! Did you do the hanging sign too?

I think it looks very good.

Thanks guys, I didn’t do the back panels and was done buy the customers contact, I did warn him though because they are gloss Foamalux sheets 😮 He is also adding a painted wooden trim around to hide the screws and finish off the edges. All these options were initially discussed but all he wanted me to do were the letters, he still tried to haggle me but at the end of the day all the other "problems" are going to be his and I’m sure he will be back to me to re-do a lot of it in the not too distant future….. hopefully 😛

and yes I did the swing sign as well, he wanted a thick panel swing sign but didn’t want to pay for it 😮 so I offered to throw in an aluminium panel with chrome letters.

As for kerning it is not that bad I don’t think, in hindsight I might have moved the "I" across a touch but only us signmakers might notice 😛

It’s a real shame he’s messed about with materials but you’ve made a good job of it. He’s got a cracking result for the short term and will hopefully go back to you to make it look that good permanently!
