are most not all Chinese made anyway mate?
cutters – printers – laminators 🤔 -
UKSB member, John Thomson has bought multiple machines directly from China over the years and hasn’t had any problems. Printers, flatbed mounting tables, lasers etc etc.

Hi,
Yes as Rob says I have.
8 or 9 years ago I imported an Audley (generic Chinese design) 1600mm hot/cold laminator.
6 years ago a Fayon flatbed laminator. Both are stocked in the UK by Mounters Mate
Never really had any issues other than the motor needing removed and cleaned on the Audley machine.John

Thanks John.
When you have time, please share a photo of the Audley 1600.
TIA.

loads of sign making equipment comes from china. some are renamed and the colour changed, but it is the same machines. i think the risk comes down to help and support if needed.
1, you have a language barrier. 2, you have time differences. 3, are they reputable? -
Looked for a few months to update our ancient 14 years old, but brand new looking Chinese cold laminator/ rollers and starting to play up on long runs.
Bought a used 1600mm Easymount, but it arrived with a damaged roller so it was rejected.
So, got a rebranded Chinese one from Belmonte for much the same cost. Heated top roller, take up, pneumatic drop…etc.
A rebadged £2k machine if bought directly from China, but saves the hassle of importing, shipping, duty (another £1.5k) and any warranty problems…
Must say, it took a few hours to become proficient and I blew half a roll of cheap media through it that I had sitting about…if I get 5 to 10 years…will be happy.

Happy to read this. I will buy direct.
Lots of well known brands have stitched me up during the years. Paying premium but left on my own when things go wrong.
Appreciate this. Many thanks,

This looks very like your Seal machine, David.
Price is FOB which means delivered by the supplier to a main shipping port. You then need to add shipping, import duties and VAT and get it transported to you when it arrives in your country.
All things a shipping agent will arrange for a small fee, all in it would be just over £2000 including VAT delivered to your door.john
