Grenadier CYAN & MAGENTA not printing correctly
Posted by Dave Rich on November 15, 2011 at 2:08 pmCyan and Magenta only printing correctly on the right side, doesn’t seem to be putting enough ink down on the left banks? Any ideas?
Have syringed through, Powerful cleans on group A, doesnt seem to want to go back to normal?

could be damaged head… a line sometimes indicates that there is a mark thru it…. can u somehow find a way of looking.

Its not the gap line through it Im worried about, thats been there a while and still prints fine…Its the weak print on the left hand side of both Cyan & Magenta, they should be both vivid

Yes mate…bulk ink….and recently just moved it into our new unit.

Silly suggestion not topped up with wrong ink ?
Get a couple of strips of paper dip into cart and leave standing up so excess ink runs off & compare.
I am sorry to say i have done it myself 😳Kev

Looks like light cyan and light magenta to me, are you sure the correct ink is in the correct place?

different head sequence from my sc540 so presume the lt M and lt C is group C, only suggestion – is it in service mode as that gives a different test print to user mode.
tis strange

Chris
still prints in same order, that the heads run inKev

I’m religiously meticulous about the inks going in but that does seem the only feasible answer so I’m going to test that now………………..
keep you posted….!

Did the paper test (good test actually) and all inks are fine……..
Ran a print of just Cyan & Magenta, good 500mm square of each, did a test…same.
Really puzzling me……need to get some jobs out too…..

if you have any dampers there try a new damper if not swop them over & see if the problem swops from one side of the head to the other. Double check all of your ribbon cables have not been disturbed. |Have you checked that the ink is still set to CMYKlmlc in the service menu?Kev

That really does look like cyan and light cyan and magenta and light magenta. You could try swapping the 2 dampers over and running a powerful clean and see if the fault swaps over…?

Printing fine now, just alot ( i mean alot) of cleaning and pulling through with the syringe, think it may have had flush in with the ink or something, anyway just shows what a bit of perseverance can do….3 bloody days on and off
cheers guys
