Graphtec CE5000 vinyl measuring problem!
Hi All,
My Graphtec CE5000 has suddenly stopped reading the width of the vinyl, it has worked virtually faultlessly for the last 12 years, but has now decided to play up, in SignLab when l try to determine the width a pop up says “Interrogating” Cannot receive data from selected port:USB001. In SignLab in Cut/Plot/Plotter setup, the box is ticked for “Check plotter for sheet size at start” l have had a few short power cuts of late, not sure if any of them coincide with the cutter playing up!
Any advice is welcome!

Check that both ends of the cable from the computer to the cutter are securely connected.
try replacing the cable from the computer to the cutter. check the port for the cable hasn’t been knocked or damaged. been there, i had a slightly bent cable connection at the machine.
