Getting back to normal hours
Posted by Kevin Mahoney on October 28, 2021 at 5:31 pmHi all.
Not posted anything in a while as we’ve been working on a fleet rebrand.
100 fairly tame liveries by our standards but all had to be fitted after hours.
Some very long evenings are thankfully behind us now. Here’s a bit of normal from the last weekKevin Mahoney replied 1 year, 3 months ago 7 Members · 15 Replies -

Always great seeing what you have been up to Kev, and again, it looks like you have been very busy!
The cathedral square job, are those pans or flex face or?
I agree with Leslie, the Wyatt van is very nice.
It is good to see those big flat cut letters installed properly and without “rails” at the back, on that cladding. especially the wide cladding straps like those which are a pain at the best of times. my pet hate on any signs is “rails”.thanks for taking the time to loud your work mate. 👍

Just a vinyl print over an existing steel run of trays for cathedral square, a race against the rain, the shop fitters at next, the light & the traffic wardens. 50 metres long, & surrounded by the public walking around without looking up from their phones. The purge will be great fun

always enjoy seeing your work Kevin! Is that a clear wrap on the wyatt van?
-
Clear polymeric with relief cuts on the sides, with Avery 1105 on the back doors on that one Hugh

I had to go back and look again… I like that! I’ve used clear on sliver / white many times for silly accreditation logos or things I don’t have vectors for / can’t be arsed to cut out, but I don’t think I’ve ever thought of doing large panels in poly. Works really well!

I do a fair bit of these for the tight arses who don’t want to stump up for a wrap, generally make a vignette out of the image & take it right out to the edge of the panel rather than leave an edge in the middle of a panel, gives a kind of airbrushed look

Just a cut where we know the vinyl will definitely fail, like a single step recess

Quality selection of work as usual Kev👍
(agree with Rob on the NPC letters, much better without rail))
loving that community logo, felt tip fairy job (as you would say) or one of yours?

design agency job Martin, over a hundred of those done, had to strip & clean the old on off first, felt like I lived there for a while

They called today to say they’ve found another 10, guess I’m moving back in again
