  • Gerber GS15 Plus Cable – Mine has vanished, replacing it?

    Hello

I wrote on here a while ago asking about mac software for my Gerber GS15 Plus. As advised I didn’t go down the mac route and got back the original pc with the graphic advantage software.

However, I have now discovered the cable that links the plotter to the pc is missing. I have tried a different cable but it doesn’t work. Spandex have told me they are £70 to replace, too much for me just now.

Does anyone know where I could get a cheaper replacement. I read online that it may be possible to make them yourself, but I’m not sure I’d have the skills.

    Any advice welcome.

You need a "NULL MODEM" cable. Same cable as 99 % of all cutters.

If your computer doesnt have a serial port, you can get a USB to serial adapter, and then plug the NULL MODEM cable into it to connect to the machine.

Null MOdem cables do not work, tried it, been there when we upgraded our PC without a serial port. Just buy a serial prt card from Amazon. £10 and it works.

    ATB with it.
