Garments stained…. any ideas please???
Hi all..
Customer bought these tops a few weeks back (collected them anyway), they do the reach and wash pure water window cleaning… customer is claiming that the water has somehow stained them.. it’s filtered from tap water..
I have my own idea’s but would like your theories please..

Hughoh yeah, apparently his previous ‘cheapo Primarni’ polo’s he started with, in black, didn’t do this.

I personally had this issue a few years back with my own clothing. In the end I discovered that it was my roll on deodorant reacting with sweat that caused it. Changing the deodorant instally stopped the problem.
Not saying this is what’s happening here but is it possible some sort of detergent they use is reacting in the same way that my deodorant was?

My first thought was sweat, though the armpits aren’t manky. I have a landscape customer who sweats like a cart horse and his forest green shirts are yellow scrap inside 4 months as a result!!
However, you mentioning deoderant… I wonder with all this hot weather if it might be sun tan lotion and sweat?

Could it not be the soap or whatever they use in the water to clean the windows?

It certainly looks like a sweat pattern. I would suggest he tries putting them in the washing machine

It has been washed, smells nice!

I had something similar once.
I left my washing on the line in the boiling sun once for a couple of days and it did something like this, not the same pattern but seeing as the black tops look brown, I would put money on it being sun related.
I never left the clothes on the line again once they were dry, I learnt my lesson as some of the tops were expensive.
I would like to get to the bottom of it so I would buy another top, wear it and wash it and see what happens.

Has your supplier not offered any reasons or support Hugh? Could possibly be that the shirt dye wasn’t fixed?

I’ll email them but, it’s highly unlikely they’ll admit to such and, if they do, they’ll only replace the garment and not cover the embroidery costs etc. Thought I’d ask here for opinions before doing so.
