Had an e-mail with the attached visual, asking for a quote to produce and install it.

We’d need to recreate the artwork as it’s been rasterized.

We’d Print & Cut the compass part of the logo, the icons for the phone number and e-mail, with the text in cut vinyl.

So what kind of price would you charge for this? The price they’ve been quoted by another established local company sounds ridiculously cheap, and makes us sound stupidly expensive!

    Morning David,

Allowing for a Re-draw of the logo I’d say £220.

We went in a bit higher than that, we just guessed a price, as we got the impression they were time wasters.

    Turns our we were correct!

They emailed last night to tell us we were too expensive, they’ve done thr rounds, and someone will do that for £155+VAT

Exactly Phil… The email we got yesterday say’s it all.

    quote :

    Thank you for your email.

We have shopped around and that quotation would be by far the most expensive as we have had the same quality work quoted by (COMPANY) at £155.00 +VAT.

For this reason I will not be using your service.

I’ve not been able to sleep since they sent that, I’m not sure how we’ll pay the rent this month 😆

What gets me is why do they feel the need to write to you to let you know they will not be using your service because you’re "too expensive". Fingers crossed it will be a shoddy job with an unlaminated print and cut that quickly fades and rubs off.
