  • Finding the right "Trade Only" Print supplier?

Posted by James Bright on 24 April 2013 at 08:08

    Hi All.

I am currently in the business of doing all things vinyl, but would like to start offering my customers a bit more in the way of printed signs etc. As I currently have no way of doing any of this myself and can’t afford to splash out on a new printer, I was wondering who are the reputable Trade Only print suppliers are?

I take it you don’t already know any of the other local Sign Companies if you would have to ring round & think you might get a frosty reception.
I get on very well with a few of the local companies, always have done so when I first started to need anything printed that I couldn’t do myself it wasn’t a problem popping in to see them & talking about it.
Might not be so easy for yourself but rather than phone round I would take the time to go and speak to them.

No I don’t really know any of the local companies personally to be honest but a face to face conversation could be the way forward

    James,
Is there a trade printer in your area.

We have our own digital printer which is a very useful peice of kit. However there are times when I need large banners. I use a trade only company. I know they also do trade printing of boards and other substrates. These are based in Dublin, Ireland, local to me, but their must be trade only printers in the vacinity you can collaborate with.

As mentioned by Martin, call round and speak to them and see how they can help you.

If you get any of the trade magazines there are usually loads of companies offering Trade printing.

I would give MacroArt a try, thats who i use from time to time if jobs exceed our printers width. http://www.macroart.co.uk/

however, you will find a good listing of reputable printing companies on Signapp or Sign Toolbar.
