File contains multiple repeated vectors
Had a strange one yesterday.
I created a file in CS5 on the mac, a simple outline of text. Back-saved as legacy ai10 file.
Sent it to the shop where Jess opened it on the PC (xp, .ai10) and cut it out on the Roland CX500 plotter.
The blade began to repeat the same cut, over and over again, cut through the backing paper and had started on the teflon strip below before Jess cancelled the plot.
Jess looked at the file I had sent…turns out there were dozens of vectors on top of each other in the file.
She managed to delete the extra ones, and redid the cut.Has anybody else had this random problem? It is strange because we have done exactly this a number of times without issue.

I’ve had this when importing ai files into corel before, but not for some time now. don’t know if it was the file or an import issue!
