I can’t give any advice on either machine but after looking ourselves it would be the GTX I would go with.
It seems if you market correctly people end up with more than one of them. Roland brought or are bringing out one that’s more like a flat bed and does 8 at a time, at the 56k mark. Which compared to when I asked about the kornit is pennies. They must run the most pointless Facebook ads ever, can’t image many with half a million quid knocking about saw the Facebook ad first.
Anyway Ricoh also came to see us. What surprised me was the honesty of when the machine reach 100k in prints that’s it done. Motor runs out around there and it’s not worth repairing. So they where selling them machine on the idea that is the limit. Which is fair enough. But it put me off. I’d be asking brother the same now if I ever went back to look at it again. We do approx 30,000 items a year so although all of it wouldn’t transfer across once you take in front and back prints.. I don’t want to invest 25k in a machine for 4 or 5 years and then be forced to buy another.
