I can’t say I’ve ever seen the Durajet inks but I would imagine they are just a rebadged version of another ink.

I can definitely vouch for ColorSolve being good as I used to work for AIT for 15 years!! 😀

The 3 most popular 3rd party inks for your printer are Colourific, Nazdar and Sun Chemical. However, it seems Sun Chemical are leading the race at the moment having just bagged a couple of our biggest customers.

Just to be clear, I have no affiliatioin with any of the above companies and do not stand to make anything from mentioning any of them.

Thanks Stafford, Sun Chemical sounds like a good option for us, having looked into it, we have a local supplier within 5miles. 😀

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Many of my customers are using their Streamline setup and all are very happy. There’s a guy called Ade from Bristol who does a lot of the installs, he’s a lovely chap 🙂

I use them, no problems here.

JV33S works fine and has done for several months

Switched from ss21 to a Sun bulk system a couple of months ago and all seems fine with savings of around 55%. The only perceptible difference is a very slight increase in smell despite these supposedly being no odour versions.

I love being able to see in the chambers exactly how much ink is left and being used. System supplied and backed by Litho Supplies with service contract although not needed to use this part yet!

I was talking to Ade at Sun Chemical during the week and he has just installed the board that switches the line every X often so the valves don’t dry up on one of my customers machines.

Seems that they’ve put a lot of effort into develpment.

I’m not sure if Nazdar are doing this yet as I’ve only seen the 6 colour arrangement with their inks. Which also works very well.

Nazdar are doing an offer at the moment for a free cartridge to try.

That seems like a great idea Stafford, I was only thinking today that’s it’s been more than 6 weeks since I switched lines on the bulk system and should probably do this now.

Do you know if this will be available to existing users?

    Thanks

I’d imagine so Colin. However, I’m sure you could just pull out 1xCMYK once a month and the printer will automatically switch to the other set as it would when using regular cartridges.

As far as availability is concerned, you’d best best off speaking to Mike or Ade at Sun Chemical for that.

    Hi Guys,
I have just moved onto the Sun Chemical inks (streamline)
Ade came and did my install too.

    Great chap and very knowledgeable.
However i seem to have a slight issue.
I now have a cyan and magenta mist around the edge of all white areas on prints.
Doesn’t matter what profile i use or what setting.

    Any clues??

Heater temp needs to go up, mine is set at 36 pre 37 print and 45 post… You have overspray

Actually having just had a closer look at your pics, I would say that you have a drop position alignment problem… Or you head height is set wrong. You need to run a drop pos test or rais your head a fraction (or lower) see manual for details

    Thanks for your help guys,
In a total pickle at the moment.
Machine is only 16 months old and runs about 2-3 hrs per day.

I have tried turning off the fast-print setting which helps a bit but not near enough.
Its as if the prints have a blurred edge.

Have also lowered temp to ones suggested.

Any more ideas would be very welcome as a bill for £1200 head from digiprint isn’t gonna be good this close the christmas.

drop pos setting needs adjusting, simples… or head height, try putting your head height up and reprinting (or down if its on highest setting)

If the machine is only 16 months old, it will still be under warranty, so you could call
Hybrid out. They won’t like 3rd party inks though, so you would need to swap back
    to OEM.
