  • De-Chroming Car but rear window goes all the way around

    Morning all

Just had a request to de-chrome a car but the back door chrome surround is a single piece that goes around the whole of the rear window (see image).

In this case, rather than use strips of gloss black vinyl, would you apply the whole section and just cut out the rest rather than trying to form the strip around the window which is quite a push (I think anyway)

    Thoughts?

For that back window I’d definitely cut the shape rather than bend a strip round. For all the value of the vinyl needed. You’d have to stretch it pretty bad to make that corner.

    Thanks David

I priced it up as that but just wanted confirmation.

    Thanks
