cscs card can anybody advise
hi all
i had one of these years ago and was never ever asked for it on site
i now need a new one :rollseyes: last time it was a sit down test pretty basic
talking to a client he reckons you need more now
has anyone recently done this and can advise
tried the google route and its a bit of a mish mash

you need to do the CITB test which are available nationwide – multiple choice questions.
Once done, then to gain the basic green labourer card which in most cases is enough to satisfy the box ticking exercises on sites, you have to do a 1 day health and safety course at which point you can apply for your card -
Labourers green card is the only way unless you want to do a college course to give you a signmakers qualification.
My previous card was a "manifestation installer" but that classification no longer exists.

looks like i will have to do another h&s course as the ones i have already done do not qualify .

Yes you will have to redo the course…..think you need to redo anyway when your existing card runs out just to renew an existing card…………just a money making scam in my opinion.

This subject amuses me greatly!
I don’t have a sign making qualification yet I’m considered to be qualified enough to teach an apprentice on a sign making course. Once qualified the apprentice can apply for a CSCS card yet seemingly I cannot!
I’d laugh if it wasn’t so ridiculous!

well i did the classroom health and safety exam :rollseyes: on friday
18 guys on coarse most builders who didnt want to be there few guys had to be there to get there benefits
one asked what pass rate was
in 6 years no one has failed ever
even in the exam one guy asked the instuctor for the answer to question 21
instructor said i cannot tell you the answer you have four answers and its not ab or c
