  • Can we use the ss2 ink in our CJV30 instead of the ss21?

    Hi.

We have a CJV30 with ss21 inks. We have been given some brand new ss2 inks and just wondered if it would be ok to use these. Are there any differences between the two inks?

    Thanks

In short, no. The SS2 is for JV3 only. You could maybe try selling them on here…

‘IF’ SS2 ink was compatible with your CJV (which I think it’s not), you would need to flush the existing inks out and tell the Mimaki to use a different inkset. It simply won’t recognise the cartridges if it’s been set up for a different inkset. It probably wouldn’t be cost effective to flush the system out and then reload again as the fillup process uses a fair amount of ink.
