    Hi all,

I’m looking for a small washout booth for washing out photoresist stencils for my engraving and sandblasting. They are very expensive from what I can see from searching online. I am toying with the idea of making one, the old one I currently use is made of some form of strong white plastic board, which appears to be "welded/melted" together to make the booth. I know the materials used would be very low cost but the "how to" is the problem.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Marcus

Hi Marcus, I’ve used these types of wash out booth but I can’t remember where they were purchased from as it was a long time ago.

Try typing in screen printing in ebay, about 20 listings down there is a galv. steel wash out booth, brand new for £175.(Pick up only) Looks good quality but might be a bit too big for your use.

    Cheers John

We have made small dip tanks before from ‘extruded pvc’ sheet which was about 5mm thick, cuts fine with a circular saw and our plastic supplier supplied us with a glue that melted the plastic together, we then just ran some silicon sealant around the inside to make it water tight.
You can have them plastic welded but if you want to keep the price down this would be your best method.
