    Hi all

Wonder if anyone can help please with my BN-20 which is about 6 months old from new.

I am printing CMYK image onto clear vinyl for reverse window application and using white ink to back up the CMYK image. My first attempt was putting both CMYK and white in one pass (done before with no issues) but once printed noticed that there were yellow streaks in the print (see attached image). I tested by printing the CMYK on its own (no streaks), return to origin and then over printing with the white and thats when the yellow streaks appeared again.

So can anyone please suggest why the white ink is firing off yellow streaks occasionally. I have done a manual and normal clear in between test prints. The carts are low but not quite empty.

    Thanks in advance.

    Russ

    Thanks Chris for your reply.

I didn’t realise that was a consumable part. I guess it is the whole assembly not just the sponge that needs to be replaced right? Do you mind if I ask where you would purchase a replacement (DIGIPRINT) and is it quite easy to replace?

    Thanks

They hadn’t seen this on a BN-20 before so an engineer is due to pay me a visit. They suspect the head and possible replacement so very pleased it is still within warranty. Will keep you posted
