best way/material to do this please.
Hi
I have been asked to do this graphic on a Citreon Relay. The logo is no issues. The stripes would be fine if on a flat surface but as wrapping is not something I do, I understand it and have played around on my own vehicle, I want to know the best way of applying it. My go to vinyl is Metamark M7 but I know this would not be suitable for these curves. My client likes the Avery 800 Intense Blue.
Would this be okay.Cheers

I wouldn’t worry about this one Ian. It’s actually very simple as there are no compounds curves involved. You just need to feed the vinyl into the indents. This way you don’t need to stretch it at all and no worries about it shrinking back

You’ll be fine with 800. Arches are not as deep as impact make them look.
You do have the narrow and very thin stripe at the top of the van. You could give it a dam good clean with IPA and feed it in and just explain to the customer that it is a small tight groove so there’s not much contact area for the vinyl, or you could cut the thin strip out and it again above reason is why you did that.

The van is coming by next Monday so I can get some proper measurements and will have a look then.

as has been said, No wrap needed, just apply to the flat areas and feed into the recesses if required.
I would suggest, if possible, dropping the blue line that appears around the side metal runner. it’s pointless and I would imagine could look untidy unless trimmed around perfectly. your then cutting in the vehicle and knifeless tape wouldn’t be good in this area with right angle cuts.
i would also stay away from the guttering area at the top of the vehicle. just stop shy of the recess at the top.

This image was sent to me but yes I wouldn’t have had the blue line above the door runner. In fact i would keep them both finishing below the runner.

Anyone else notice the RS isn’t centred in the stripes – does anyone else notice stuff like this on vehicles everyday and moan about it to the person next to you or is it just me being anal 😆

As I say this was sent to me for a price and I just want to make sure that I get the correct material and wont come unstuck when applying. I will be making sure that when I see the vehicle on Monday that all measurements are correct and when applying the graphics it is centered.

The plastic stop should unscrew and come off the end of the rail.
You could stop the blue ‘behind’ the rail, leave part of it showing at the side of the stop. Will both the stripes finish at the same height?
Does the other side have a door?

I know of these mistakes I was sent this as an idea and asked if I can do it. I will ensure all is perfect before fitting.
