    Hello People

I had a larger sign firm in Manchester, 10 lads and office folk too, went through some domestic stuff and have enjoyed working from a garage workshop, me and partner and 2 sub contractors.

I have had a local sign maker print and post lam cut for me. I could maybe do with printing from here too as he often gets busy and I miss out. What is an affordable (Used probably) small printer. I had Roland and Mimaki gear. I need it to Post Lam Cut.

    Cheers kind people

The smallest is the Roland B20 solvent printer. But you are limited in the width and is a slow printer. but I don’t think it has any cut options.

Next in line is the versacamm type end of the range. which is print and cut and is not limited in size like the B20.

Printmax sell these printers. you should ask if they have any second user or demo machines.

Both makes of machines that you have expereince with are the only two that I know of that have print and cut integrated into the same machine. (Mimaki & Roland)

I cant add to what Jeff and Peter have said, but you could contact either Josero for Mimaki or Prinmax for Roland print and cut machines. Ex-demo or second user trade-ins are pretty common, so may be worth asking the question before buying a second user privately.

The problem with buying a second user machine is it is like buying a car. might look immaculate but has been raced from A-to-B at 100mph for the past few years. the heads might be knackered or almost, which can be costly. whereas you have at least some backup and support when you buy a second user from a supplier. may cost slightly more but you get the peace of mind and someone on the other end of the phone should you need to ask questions after the sale.
