How does it look on the preview in Signlab? maybe your cutter is set to mirror rather than it being the software.
-
in signlab it looks as it should when you write text IE from right to left etc
The plotter is a Roland camm 1 960

If i type TEST fr example it looks correct
when it cuts it says TSET and its also upside down???
In signlab it says its going to cut TEST

There is an option that mirrors stuff on the cutter, can’t recall exactly as I don’t have much experience with Roland’s these days. Do you have the book for it. Should be a very simple fix if you know what buttons to press (hopefully!)

Manual here makes no mention of it…
http://www.signcutpro.com/files/man/rol … 60+910.pdf
What version of Signlab do you have?
-
Yes ive been through the roland manual twice and tried every setting in the book without any joy
Will try again with a fresh set of eyes tommorow
Thankyou for your help aswell as its appreciated

Select CUT/plotting defaults, then make sure that "Mirror" is NOT selected.
-
Like Peter says, make sure Mirror is UnChecked in Cut/ Plotting Defaults.
Also make sure Axis Swaap is unchecked in Cut/Plotting DeafaultsAlso make sure Rotate is set to 90 on the cutter itself.
With rotate ste to 0, the cutter cuts along the width of the vinyl, not the length -
If mirror is checked in the setup it will be reversed in the preview? which it isn’t.

I had a similar problem with older versions of signlab.
unistall and then reinstall the plotter,Peter

Hi and thanks to everyone for the help, I checked everything and after losing lots of hair and screaming like a girl at the pc and plotter I sussed out the problem!
The plotter was set-up correct, it seems that in signlab that one of the little origin settings was wrong so it caused a conflict which made everything look correct on the software but told the cutter to turn the image round and also mirror it
Neither mirror or transform etc were ticked in signlab.
A real pain but the good news is that its now back working as it did originally
Its a shame that for some reason when I asked if anyone had a user guide / manual etc for signlab 5 the forum admins deleted it as I could really do with the manual as mine was lost??

peter the manuals for signlab, are not that comprehensive, everything covered is actually in the signlab help files. pity though I chucked out my siglab 5 manuals only the day before you asked for them!
