  • Arcing 3 lines of text – help needed please

I consider myself reasonably proficient when it comes to Coreldraw but this has got me stumped. I have 3 lines of text that I’m trying to arc however I cant seem to be able to do this for all 3 lines and keep the spacing looking right, I have tried doing individual lines as well but this doesn’t look right either.

Would appreciate some help with this if anybody knows how to do it.

    thanks

    Jason

I’d probably be doing it the hard way but, I would:
write the text and space it accordingly,
break the text apart so you have three separate lines.
make the curve, then draw a straight baseline along the bottom of the text, duplicate the curve and align it with the centre of the baseline, repeat, remove baselines, add text to curves.

all that said, I’d guess thats similar to how you’re doing it, I’ve had issues myself when doing similar things.

another way might be to draw three circles, each inside the other, the text may need to decrease as the circles get smaller but I reckon it might be an option!

draw the arc line the way you want it with circle or Bezier tool… select text then go to the line til you get a capital A and wavy line show, Click on your drawn shape or line, then type your text the size or font you like. Once done, select your pick tool and you can move the text about by the red diamond next to it, or do a selection of different things up in the tool bar.
    hope this helps

Jason, no matter how much time you spend on it you may never get it to look completely right. I try to avoid arching text if I can because getting the kerning/tracking to look right between certain letters is nigh on impossible.
