    Does Illustrator open it?
Then you should be able to save as an eps. which Flexi should read.

What version of Flexi are you using Brian.

    8.5 opens PDF’s ok.

Sound like the same problem you get with Corel 12 and CS5 ai / eps files.

They don’t import and show as corrupt.

Get him to save as an earlier version ai file.

i heavily use illustrator cs4, you have to find out what version flexi you have and, which version of the illustrator raw file it take (.ai).

If you ask your designer to export the illustrator file as an .eps, rather than save as which only gives you saving option as .ai or .pdf.

Can you try to open the .eps file into photoshop, it normally works. I think you can resave in photoshop as an .eps and try to open it back into flexi or illustrator.

    please update us,

Try using the "Place" command to place the EPS inside a Illustrator document. Remember to embed the file and not just link it.

another great graphic designer who have no clue about different versions of .eps or .ai or .pdf files. what you need to do is to have a file about how you want to have your files to be done by outside graphic designers. tell him to save the the file as a .pdf file but an early version which can be open with flexi. you can see that in flexi help about supported files to import.

I use Illustrator. Instead of saving as an eps or ai CS5, get the designer to save as Illustrator 8. Every version of Flexi from 7, 8 & 10 should open / import that version of Illustrator file fine.

The file size will be large, but most designers / agencies use Rapidshare or U Send It, so you can pick it up via a file sharing site.
