Gavin, I’m no expert as I havent been in the business very long but if you read some of the past posts you will see that people like Mike tell you not to use to many fonts on a sign. Try and limit it to about 2 different fonts.
I dont know what sort of image this guy has but looking at what you have done you have used a simple block font for the name, the car sales font looks almost comic and the sports, performance etc looks very classy.
Obviously I’m no expert and perhaps I shouldnt answer posts like this but in my mind the fonts dont work well together at all.
Have you bought a big batch of buff coloured vinyl on the cheap ?
Cant think of what to suggest but I dont think this colour goes to well with the black and silver. -
hi gav… just on for a minute mate, going out on a fitting. 😡
i knocked this up last night but never got the chance to post it as i was working on some stuff for the shop. hope its not to late to give you for some extra ideas.
i know you use a pc600 so thought by using some small simple graphics it would give the sign that little extra appeal….i know i havent used the word “CAR” i think car sales as such can sometimes cheapen the image… bit like aurthur daley 😆
in turn ive used some pictures with the word sales to get the message across.. it’s just what ” rocks your boat” at the end of the day, i guess..see what you think anyway…

I was thinking in doing something digital but unfortunately my PC600 is still down at Roland being “inspected” 👿 😥

Nice modern layout Rob , I prefer to see photos treated as youve done on a common graphic shape stripe or whatever
So many digitals are not intergrated into a concept but tend to be just left to stand alone, good workMike your layout also on this proposal was a really good example of an experienced solution when faced with various messages
Gav youll not go far wrong from learning from these examples -we all feed of each other as far as design goes, soak it up like a sponge
i doBy the way where did that ‘car sales’ font come from , bin it ,its hideous!
