I thought I would post this job that I was doing on Friday.
Might look straightforward enough, but took a bit of thought and negotiation with the vinyl to try to prevent creases and wrinkles from forming due to the amount of different raised areas, dips etc.
to make matters worse, the single piece of vinyl was about 10 feet long and 5 feet wide and I was installing it on my own. The most frustrating part was the fold over onto the top, as that too had raised and sunken areas. great fun, honest! 😏😀

The Manitou machine is being used across Scotland to hoist these huge Puppets we are beginning to see in parades across Europe.

Manitou in the video is one from last years event.
I am not sure why they wanted a wrap this year-round but the good thing about it was Manitou loved the engine cover and the doors we did on the opposite side so much they are considering offering customers bespoke designs on their machines.

I honestly would not know where to start applying vinyl to something with all those lumps and bumps. seems a shame to put it on one of those big tractor things!
Love the puppet walking too. must be sort of intimidating to see.

    Well done Rob

You’re right, it does look simple enough, it’s only when you get up close and start laying it down you realise. I’ve had plenty of them and thought **** me, that was a bit harder than I thought.

It’s nice to do something a little different though and at least you had space to work around it.

wrapped in one big sticker with no joins?! brilliant!

watched that a couple of times and as you say, there are so many different levels of bodywork to stretch over and into. 👍

Nicely done Robert. I would put the writing on separately. I wouldnt trust myself to get it lined up right.
