Vehicle Wrap: Rip Curl

Pretty happy with it. Design elements provided by Rip Curl there designer was really great to work with. He understood all the issues with designing a wrap and made it a lot easier for us to install and get a great finished result.
The van is originally white.

First class work Jason, great one for the portfolio. What areas of the transit did you find the most challenging when applying ?

Excellent job yet again Jason….Is it your design aswell?

Cheers guys. I’m probably most proudest of this job in terms of my application.
Dave: Probably the door handles I found the most challenging. Figuring out how much to get the vinyl into the recess before I cut. I nearly made a boo boo on the back door handle. Apart from that its a pretty easy install.
Glenn: Rip Curls designer did most of the design.

Nicely done Jason,
Do you use a separate strip of material for the gutters? and apply first?
A bit of black paint on the rear door hinges would have just finished it off.

Hey Peter,
This wrap is only on for 6 weeks so i dont think theyd let me paint it 😀
I applied the side graphics under the lip of the rain gutters up to the top then cut them off. I then laid the roof into the gutter then cut it off. We then put in a 10mm strip in the gutter to close up the cut.
I wouldn’t want to do the rain gutters if this was going to be a three year job. I’d think eventually the water would get underneath and start lifting the wrap. But they are going to be taking promo shots from above and I didn’t want to see any white.
Putting in the patch in the first place would have been probably better though.

excellent job mate, well done. How long did that take anyway?

Hey Shane,
Started fitting midday on Monday and finished by Wednesday besides the one way vision because I was letting it out gas still so did that first thing Thursday before pickup.
Was doing my other work in between so probably a good two days to fit.
