Spend 10 minutes with Mr Lambie, a mobile phone and a napkin… you’ll be laughing ๐ And I’m not joking either!
Robert did a brilliant demo a bit back, video demo at that, showing an application method that works everytime. I use the same method for applying and as I’ve practised and used it everyday, I rarely get bubbles now. Well worth a look ๐

Been told size doesn’t matter :lol1:
tell me how to do it no matter the size as I’m sure I’ll be applying all sizesThanks

size does matter, its easy to do it small, but to do it large you need experience

A brief lesson on applying vinyl is OK, but there is a lot more to it than that. Every vinyl job is different: shape, size, material type, weather conditions etc. All this comes from experience as Peter says. Watch the demo, get some vinyl and practice on as many different surfaces as you can, indoors in the warm and outdoors in the freezing cold; on metal, glass and anything else it will stick to. This should help you to be prepared for the way the vinyl behaves under different conditions.
And now, a well worn phrase that I offer to all trainees I have taught: don’t let the vinyl touch the panel unless the squeegee puts it there.

do what I did when I had to learn in a hurry, take about a hundred off cuts and bits of vinyl home with you in the weekend, lock yourself in your garage and apply them one after another until thereโs nothing left or your fingers are bleeding and worn down..
Its all about practice and consistency.
