Rob you know you have “most users online” in the box on the left.
Tonight must be the least on line, never seen it so quiet, except maybe early sunday morning. Millions of signmakers throughout the world must be calling their isps reporting faults cos they can’t find the boards. 😛

but your right, the server change will certainly kill the traffic for next 24hrs at least.
the move will show massive improvements in the site in the run up to christmas, so ill have to grin and bear it for now. 😕
the sever change is the biggest we have done so far, and although we have a very sneaky way of doing this on the fly with previous sserver changes, this time it couldnt be done due to heavy security settings with the new host. (which can only be good)
we were actually online working on this till about 5;30 am this morning. 😮 still it was a bit rough but we have got there… file transferring took many hours and that was with broadband. 😕
file atachments in file swapping alone clocks about 600mb i think…
never mind the database and other files/images etc :lol1:the one good thing about this move is its the last i hope i will ever need to make as far as server performance/ability etc in total i recon we will be all complete this time next week were i will announce new changes and the like 😉 for the better of course 😉

Rob you have my sympathy.
Looks easy to do stuff like the boards web page, When your looking from the outside. I know you must, and do, put a lot of time and effort into it.

on subject of server, how is the site running in general for any of you?
i dont mean links etc as they will kick back in soon. i mean more with page change speeds thats orta thing? -
havnt really seen any difference in general, Get some shuteye, and dont worry, dewi will not notice you’ve sneaked off.
